As our team gears up for the upcoming major presentation, excitement and a sense of accomplishment fill the air. We are in the final stages of fine-tuning our innovative app, a project that has not only tested our technical skills but also deepened our understanding of inclusivity and accessibility.

From a successful midterm presentation to tackling usability testing challenges. We embarked on a logo redesign journey for the Pic-Tok app, aiming to represent its core aspects while maintaining simplicity. We ultimately chose to focus on sound, a crucial element for visually impaired users.

Our work on the high-fidelity layout in Figma progressed smoothly, benefiting from an efficient 'atoms -> molecules -> organisms' approach for component creation. Our unwavering commitment to accessibility, including the use of plugins and features, ensures a user-friendly experience for the visually impaired, while they continue refining the high-fidelity mock-up for an enjoyable app

The development of the PicTok app began with a vague idea but evolved into a clear concept: a photo-sharing app for blind users using image recognition, sound cues, and text-to-speech. The team conducted research, spoke with visually impaired individuals, and worked on design and accessibility aspects. They recently decided on a re-design, including a new name, Pic-o-Pal, and are eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of visually impaired users.
